Edibles: Can You Tell The Difference?
As a health and family-focused business, we want to ALERT you to the danger of accidental ingestion of edibles, according to a study published by the New England Journal of Medicine.
As some edibles try to emulate shapes, flavours and smells of regular foods, they could be accidentally eaten by children and the elderly. These age groups who are more vulnerable to the effects of edibles and may experience cannabis poisoning. The consequences of this can be serious and life-threatening. "We've seen kids with seizures, kids who stopped breathing" said Dr. Yaron Finkelstein, a senior author of the study and staff physician at SickKids Hospital in Toronto.
If you have edibles at home, they should be locked away like medicine. Make sure to store them away from kids and to label them properly.
